WHAT HAPPENED?:
In 1998 Martine started working as a production and directing
assistant at the AVRO, a Dutch TV-station. In this job, besides making
shotlists and pre-edit video-material she assisted the producer in arranging
locations, people and catering.
From 1999 till 2000 Martine worked at MGN, a Dutch music company (1999-2000),
as magazine and photo editor and producer of cd-sleeves. In 2000 she
left to become free lance editor for TV production companies like Endemol
Netherlands and Tenfold.
On the side, from 1997-2002 she
did projects such as creating a Soap Room in cultural
center De Melkweg (Amsterdam) and décor design
for parties in the Amsterdam Studios, Escape
and cultural center De Balie (Amsterdam)
and De Winkel van Sinkel (Utrecht). At
home she produced paintings, paper collages and TV-concepts.
In 2002 Martine decided to mainly focus on free work. In November 2002
she started Storm Lab, the formal construction of an organic playfield
-shaped by inspiration, development and many passions. Until
2005 she mostly painted but from March 2005 she has
had a period of mainly computer
art and music. On
the side she designs flyers and cards.
February 2009 Mulder start her own gallery Storm Galerie, on temporary locations in Amsterdam.
For five years she travels through town, organizing expositions, art-related events and creative projects, see www.stormgalerie.nl,
In 2013 she has the biggest space ever and devises Tell me a Store, a pop-up warehouse with art, design,
vintage, handmade and more.
In 2014 Martine feels it's time for something new and quits running a physical gallery. Since then she has been organizing expositions and markets on guestlocations.
February 2015 she initiated the Ruigmarkt, a creative hippiemarket in artist village Ruigoord.
Ruigoord has become her main playfield where, besides the Ruigmarket, she coordinates festivalmarket and foodstands for a number of festivals.
